These terms govern your use of cql.ca — the marketing site of Canada Quant Labs Inc. (“CQL”). By using this site or submitting an inquiry through it, you agree to these terms. If you don't, please don't use the site.
1What this site is
cql.ca describes our open-weight model work, our quantization recipes, and the verticals we serve. It is a marketing surface — not an ordering system, not a procurement platform, and not a place where binding commercial agreements are formed. Nothing on this site constitutes an offer to contract, and nothing on this site, including the inquiry forms, is sufficient on its own to create a contract with us.
Commercial relationships are formed only through a separately signed written agreement.
2Acceptable use
You may use this site for legitimate business purposes: reading our work, evaluating whether we are a fit for your needs, submitting partnership/press/quantization inquiries, and reaching out by email. You may not:
- Submit content through the forms that you do not have the right to share, or content that is defamatory, abusive, unlawful, or harassing.
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically download the site for purposes other than ordinary indexing by search engines that honour robots.txt conventions.
- Attempt to probe, scan, or compromise the site's security, the form backend, or any infrastructure operated by us or our service providers.
- Impersonate another person or organization when submitting an inquiry.
- Use the contact forms to send unsolicited commercial communications in a manner that would violate Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) or equivalent law in your jurisdiction.
3Site content and intellectual property
The site design, copy, brand marks, photographs, and other content on cql.ca are owned by Canada Quant Labs Inc. or used under license. You may share short quotations with attribution and a link back, and you may link to the site without prior permission. You may not reproduce the site or substantial portions of it for any commercial purpose without our written consent.
The CQL name, the CQL leaf mark, and “Canada Quant Labs” are trademarks of Canada Quant Labs Inc.
4Our open-weight models and code
Models, weights, model cards, reproduction repositories, and patches published by CQL under the canada-quant organization on Hugging Face and GitHub are governed by the licenses attached to those repositories — typically MIT, Apache 2.0, or the upstream base model's license — not by these terms. If a license file disagrees with this page, the license file wins.
Benchmarks, measurements, and performance numbers published on this site or in model cards are reported in good faith from the configurations described. They are not a warranty that you will reproduce identical numbers on different hardware, with different software versions, or under different workloads. You are responsible for validating any deployment against your own acceptance criteria.
5Third-party links
The site links to external services — Hugging Face, GitHub, LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), upstream vLLM, and others. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.
6No warranty
The site, and any content or response you receive through it, is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CQL disclaims all warranties — express, implied, or statutory — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that the site will be error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the site or the servers hosting it are free of viruses or other harmful components.
7Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Canada Quant Labs Inc., its directors, officers, employees, contractors, or suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages arising out of or relating to your use of the site or the content available through it — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be excluded as a matter of law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to your use of the site is limited to one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100).
8Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Canada Quant Labs Inc. and its personnel from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your use of the site in violation of these terms, (b) content you submit through the forms, or (c) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party in connection with your use of the site.
9Changes to the site and these terms
We may change, suspend, or discontinue the site or any part of it at any time, without notice. We may also revise these terms; the effective date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Material changes will be reflected on this page. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
10Privacy
Your submissions through this site are handled under our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.
11Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in British Columbia, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You and CQL agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Victoria, British Columbia for any dispute arising out of or relating to the site or these terms, subject to any non-waivable consumer-protection rights you may have under the law of your jurisdiction of residence.
12Entire agreement and severability
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any license file accompanying a CQL repository or model, constitute the entire agreement between you and Canada Quant Labs Inc. regarding your use of cql.ca. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
